Giotto Stoppino (Milano, 1926- 2011) is an Italian architect and designer known for being among the first designers to use plastic in furniture. He designed furniture for Kartell, for instance. He won the Compasso d'Oro three time: in 1979 for the Sheraton sideboard (with Lodovico Acerbis for Acerbis International), in 1991 for Alessia handles (Olivari) and in 2011 when he was awarded the Compasso d'Oro for his career during the XXIIth edition of the award. He gained Compasso d'Oro mentions during the '50s and '60s.
